The Air Presto was the brain child of Tobie Hatfield and Kevin Hoffer and designed by Bob Mevar in the mid 90s. The first prototype came to life in 1996 and they hit the shelves in 2000. When trying on a traditional pair of running shoes at the time, Hatfield began to notice the collar would collapse to accommodate the foot. Despite still performing well for the wearer, Hatfield wondered how to better the design and function, whilst also incorporating consumer feedback that called for comfier, slip on like shoes – thus the Presto was born. This colourway originally released in 2001 with the name 'Trouble at Home', and later retro'd in 2015 under the 'Lightning' alias. These remain in good, worn condition.
