A glitter free, unvarnished and poetic Christmas. Kari Bremnes and Swedish singer/actor Rikard Wolff have put together a good mixture of old and new Christmas and winter songs. In addition to well known Norwegian and Swedish Christmas songs, Kari and Rikard have created some new material; exciting lyrics and music that will add to our Christmas and winter tradition. Desemberbarn was recorded soon after the terrorist attacks against USA, and this naturally influenced the album. Kari and Rikard had to approach the Christmas theme in a completely different way than what they had planned. Their work with the album was born from and relates to, collective longing for unity in our present world of insecurity. A genuine wish for peace – and a beating heart for all December children.
